  2. Dugout personnel shall consist only of players, a manager, and two coaches (Rookie and 6/7 may have one additional team parent in the dugout).
  3. No player shall sit out defensively more than one consecutive inning.
  4. No new inning shall start after 9:00 PM.
  5. No game or practice shall be played if the air temperature is 40° F or below.
  6. Run Rule: 15 runs after 3 innings, or 10 runs after 4 innings.

Minor, Rookie, and Machine Pitch:

  1. Time limits are 80 minutes on weeknights and 100 minutes on Saturday. No new inning shall start after the time limit has been reached.
  2. Offensive team is only allowed 5 runs per inning.

Rookie:

  1. Games will start on time and teams will play regardless of player count. Any late arriving player will be placed at the end of the batting order. There will be no forfeits.
  2. There will be nine defensive positions, with three outfielders.
  3. Season will begin with the first 3 games being played with machine pitch and following the 6-7 division rules. After spring break the local rules of play will revert back to Rookie local rules.
  4. The player pitcher will pitch to the batter until the batter hits the ball fair or the batter receives 3 strikes. If the player pitcher delivers 4 balls to the batter, a coach pitcher will deliver 3 pitches. During coach pitch, both the coach pitcher and the defensive pitcher must start with both feet within the pitcher’s circle.
  5. The batter is entitled to 3 coach pitches; the number of strikes from the player pitcher does not carry over to coach pitch. A foul ball with two strikes entitles the batter to another pitch.
  6. A batted ball that strikes a coach before contacting a player becomes dead. The batter is awarded first base and other runners remain on their bases unless forced to advance.
  7. One defensive coach may be positioned in foul territory of the outfield.
  8. Stealing is not allowed during coach pitch or machine pitch. Stealing is allowed during player pitch after the ball has crossed the plate, IF the catcher does NOT have control of the ball or within immediate reach.

Machine Pitch:

  1. Games will start on time and play regardless of player count. Any late arriving player will be placed at the end of the batting order. There will be no forfeits.
  2. There will be 9 defensive positions, with 3 out fielders (in the grass). A catcher must be played at all times and in full equipment for safety.
  3. All players will be allowed an at bat each inning. Coaches will meet mid-season with the board to discuss game progression to three outs based on player success across the board.
  4. All games will be machine pitch.
  5. The batter is entitled to 5 machine pitches. A foul ball with two strikes entitles the batter to another pitch. If the batter is unable to make contact with the machine pitched ball a tee will be used for one additional attempt. If the batter is unsuccessful it will be considered an out.
  6. A batted ball that strikes the pitching machine or a coach before contacting a player will be deemed dead. The batter will be awarded first base and other runners remain on their bases unless forced to advance.
  7. Up to two defensive coaches may be positioned in the outfield behind the outfielders. Coaches may not enter an area of play or assist a defensive or offensive player in any way.
  8. Stealing is not allowed.
