Updated Observation and Last-Chance Walk-Up Plans

The winter weather wreaked havoc on player observations this past Saturday but we've regrouped and have a plan to get this season kicked off without delay.

Player Observations Monday & Tuesday

Due to the all the rain that's expected to start on Monday, we're going to keep observations indoors in the the fairgrounds building next to the Little League baseball fields according to the following schedule:

  • Monday, February 10, at 6:30 PM: Minor and Major baseball divisions (league ages 9-12)
  • Tuesday, February 11, at 6 PM: Machine-Pitch and Rookie baseball divisions (league ages 6-8)
You may arrive up to 30 minutes early for check-in. Please arrive no later than the scheduled start time. We will run all players who are present through observations as quickly as possible and close down observations as soon as all present players are done.

We do not plan to hold softball observations. After talking to the league officials and coaches involved in the softball program, we believe we have enough continuity of coaches and players to form the softball teams without requiring observations.

Last-Chance Registration and Walk-Up (Uniform Sizing)

With observations being delayed we're leaving registration open a day or two longer:

  • Minor and Major division baseball will be open through observations on Monday, February 10.
  • T-ball, Machine-Pitch, and Rookie division baseball will be open through observations on Tuesday, February 11.
  • T-ball, Rookie, Minor, and Major division softball will be open through Tuesday, February 11.
During observations on Monday and Tuesday we will have a final walk-up (uniform sizing) event in the Little League field house. If you have not yet had your player sized for a uniform please come to one of these final walk-up events! You can also complete player registration in person at these final walk-up events.

Drafting Teams and Starting Practices

Head coaches will be meeting immediately following observations to draft teams:

  • Monday, February 10: Minor and Major baseball team drafts immediately after observations (starting at 6:30 PM).
  • Tuesday, February 11: Machine-Pitch, and Rookie baseball team drafts immediately after observations (starting at 6 PM).
  • Tuesday, February 11: T-Ball team drafts at 6:30 PM.
  • Wednesday, February 12: T-Ball, Rookie, Minor, and Major softball team drafts beginning at 6 PM.
Team drafts will be held in the Little League field house (the top floor of the building in the middle of the Little League fields) and only league officials and head coaches should be present (unless specific alternative arrangements have been made with the league).

Coaches will begin reaching out to the players on their teams in the days following the draft. Every player should hear from their head coach no later than next weekend with practices starting as soon as the weather allows following the draft.

Junior, Senior, and Challenger Divisions

The Junior and Senior divisions will kick off later in April after the conclusion of high school baseball. If you've registered a player or as a volunteer for either of these divisions just keep an eye on your email and we'll reach out when those leagues kick off.

The Challenger division will remain open and accept registrations through the duration of the season.
